Mink Campers journey around Iceland

Day 1: Reykjavik - Golden Circle

Once you pick up your Mink camper from Reykjavik, set off towards the Golden Circle. Start your journey by visiting Thingvellir National Park, where you can witness two tectonic plates pulling apart, as well as the set where Game of Thrones was filmed, before continuing to Geysir Hot Springs, which boasts spouting geysers and bubbling mud pools. Complete the day with a visit to the stunning Gullfoss waterfall.

Day 2-3: South Coast Highlights

Drive along Iceland's mesmerizing south coast towards two iconic waterfalls—Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss—offering incredible photo opportunities. Explore Reynisfjara black sand beach, known for its basalt stacks and dramatic cliffs, before venturing further eastward toward Skaftafell National Park—an outdoor enthusiast's paradise famous for breathtaking hiking trails that lead to glaciers such as Svínafellsjökull or Falljökull.

Day 4-5: Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach

Head toward Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon—one of Iceland’s crown jewels—where massive icebergs float serenely in an icy blue lake dotted with seals bobbing amidst the frozen giants. Don't miss out on nearby Diamond Beach—a surreal landscape adorned with sparkling chunks of glacial ice glistening against black volcanic sands.

Day 6-7: Lake Myvatn & Northern Highlights

Drive north to the otherworldly landscapes surrounding Lake Myvatn. Visit pseudo-craters at Skútustaðagígar and explore the mystical Dimmuborgir lava formations, known as "The Gates of Hell." Experience a relaxing dip in Mývatn Nature Baths before embarking on a journey to witness Europe's most powerful waterfall, Dettifoss.

To immerse yourself in Icelandic culture along the route too. Visit charming fishing villages like Vik or Seydisfjordur which offer glimpses into traditional ways of life still preserved today. Sample local cuisine featuring fresh seafood delicacies or stop at one of Reykjavik’s trendy cafes renowned for their Nordic-inspired pastries.
